Alternate Universe You is a singer, songwriter, and time/space traveler who chronicles their journey across dimensions through music, film, photography, and writing. The alter ego of Austin, TX-based multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Merri Palmer, Alternate Universe You explores the past, present, future, and worlds beyond through the lens of lush melodies and cosmic vibrato.

Alternate Universe You was selected as an Official 2022 SXSW Artist. They also performed during Lockhart, TX's first-ever Pride Week (2022).

MISSION: To serve others with visions of alternate futures, using a hands-on approach, compassion, curiosity, IRL conversations, & commitment to respecting the life & autonomy of all sentient beings.

Alternate Universe You is experiencing the effects of burnout after an intense several years of pandemic & work. The intent to tour and research is sincere; however, the timing was rushed and AUY needs to recharge before setting off on the next adventure. A huge thanks to the folks who shared experience, insight, and encouragement - this tour will be infinitely better due to your help.

7/25/22: Alternate Universe You is planning their first USA tour starting early August & ending mid-October 2022!
It's a tight turnaround and your support and tour recommendations are welcome and needed. This is a journey to share songs & conduct human research, with the goal of documenting first-hand experiences of the US to build a composite picture of 2 worlds: WTF is going on in the US, & WTF people want.
